1 1/4cupsflour
2tspbaking powder
1/4tspsalt
3/4cupssugar
1tspcinnamon
1/4tspground cloves
1/4 tspginger
1/2tspnutmeg
1cupcannedpumpkin
1/4cupoil
1tspvanilla
Pumpkin Topping Ingredients
1cup brown sugar
1/2tspcinnamon
1 1/2 cupshot water
Instructions
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and all of the delicious fall spicesAdd the pumpkin, oil, and vanilla to the dry mixtureStir with a spatula until blended Spread into a sprayed 9″ square panMix together the brown sugar and cinnamonSprinkle this dry mixture evenly over the batterMicrowave water until hot to the tough about 1 1/2 to two minutesPour the hot water over the top of the cinnamon/brown sugar mixtureBake at 350° for about 50 minutesThis is where the magic happens The cake will rise to the top and it will be baked, but there will be a sauce under the cakeServe warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzle the sauce over the ice cream – YUM!
