Place chuck roast in slow cooker. Pour broth, beer, soup mix, garlic, sugar and oregano over the meat.
Place slow cooker on high 6 to 8 hours.
Remove beef to a bowl and shred with two forks (you may also use a hand mixer like the ones below and here - I have the Hamilton Beach one and LOVE it!)
Return beef to liquid.
Find the best Hoagie rolls you can find, cut in half length wise and place meat in hoagie rolls.
Lay slices of provolone cheese on top of sandwiches and broil on low until cheese is golden brown.
Serve with beef sandwich juices on the side for dipping.
