Easy Breakfast Egg Quiche

This easy quiche recipe is my family's favorite quiche recipe. simple ingredients that can be prepared and gathered ahead of time also make this a simple make ahead breakfast recipe.

Ingredients

  • Pie Crust
  • 1/2 small onion chopped and diced
  • 1 T butter
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella freshly shredded or prepackaged
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half
  • 1/4 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425
  • In a bowl microwave onion and butter for 60 seconds
  • Follow directions on pie crust to unroll crust and place in a pie dish
  • Place melted butter and onion mix in pie dish
  • Place half of ham, half of bacon and half of cheese in pie dish
  • Place remaining ham, remaining bacon and remaining cheese in pie dish
  • Mix well: eggs, half and half and seasonings in bowl
  • Pour over meat and cheese mixture
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes
  • Turn oven down to 350 and cook for 35-40 minutes & until knife comes out clean in the center
  • Let sit for ten minutes
  • Slice and enjoy!
