  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 20 crushed Oreos
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 4 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 8 oz cool whip thawed
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips divided

Instructions

Cookie Dough Balls:

  • Cream the butter, sugar and dark brown sugar together
  • Mix in the vanilla extract
  • Add the flour and milk and mix thoroughly
  • Mix in the chocolate chips
  • Roll the dough into little balls that are between 1/2 and 3/4 inch in diameter.
  • * If the cookie dough balls are too big, you can always cut them down or in half later
  • Freeze the balls of dough until ready to use in pie filling
  • Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs. I like to use my food processor or pampered chef chopper
  • Mix the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter
  • Press into the bottom of a greased 9 or 10-inch pie pan
  • Set in the freezer for a minimum of 20 minutes while you make the filling

Pie Filling:

  • Mix the cream cheese, sugar and brown sugar together with a mixer. Mix until smooth
  • Add the Cool Whip and mix thoroughly
  • Stir in 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and about 3/4 of the frozen cookie dough balls
  • Scrape the filling into the pie crust smoothing down the top as you go
  • Top with remaining cookie dough balls and 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips
  • Allow the cookie dough pie to freeze completely for 60+ minutes before serving
