Easy Baked Goulash

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 T Italian seasoning
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup colby jack cheese

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef, drain
  • Add onions and garlic to ground beef
  • Add water, beef broth, bay leaves, worcestershire sauce, seasonings and tomato sauce to ground beef mixture
  • Stir mixture and simmer, covered for 20-25 minutes
  • Add elbow macaroni, stir well
  • Simmer 4-5 minutes, until pasta is al dente
  • Move mixture to a greased 9x13 dish
  • Sprinkle cheese over entire dish, cover with foil
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
  • Remove foil and broil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown
