Four steps for how to grill pork loin on the grill:
1. Prep the pork loin marinade:
In a resealable plastic bag or bowl mix together honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, ground ginger and garlic powder. Reserve half of the marinade in a container to put on the pork loin as it’s grilling and set aside.
2. Add the pork to the marinade:
Add pork tenderloin to bag or bowl with remaining marinade. Cover bowl or seal bag and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours and up to 8 hours to marinate. I make the marinade in the morning and let the pork marinate all afternoon.
3. Grill the pork tenderloin:
Preheat grill to 350 degrees F. Carefully place pork tenderloin and grill for 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F. Rotate the tenderloins every 10 minutes and carefully base with marinade you set aside.
** I do have several tools that come in really handy when you’re making pork tenderloins on the grill. I have this stainless steel meat thermometer that I stick in the thickest part of the pork tenderloin to help me keep an eye on the temp – there’s nothing worse than overcooked/too well done pork!
This meat thermometer is magnetic and sticks to the side of the grill and tells me the temperature of the pork so I can get it just right. It’s worth every penny and not expensive at all!
Another tool that I love having when I make this pork loin grilled recipe is this basting brush. It’s perfect for getting in any small nooks and crannies on the pork loin.
4. Resting time:
Do not skip this step! Remove from grill and cover with foil. Let rest 10 minutes to let juices redistribute. This gives you the ultimate juicy pork tenderloin and isn’t a step that you want to skip!
Once the pork has had a chance to rest, cut it into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces depending on how you’re planning on serving it and what you’re planning on serving it with (pieces of meat to cut, sandwiches, with crackers, etc.
Do I do the pork loin on the grill in foil?
I do not grill the pork loin in the actual foil. The only time I use foil when I am grilling these pork loins is when I am done grilling and cover the pork loin with the foil to let it take in the flavors and rest.
Grilling a pork loin is easier than you would ever think, at least it is for me! A good grilled pork loin recipe will be tender on the inside and full of flavor on the outside.
