Where are the busy mamas at?? Today I’m sharing my favorite lazy day Crock Pot lasagna that I love to make on weeks where I just know that dinner’s not going to get made unless it’s one of those easy dinner recipes that basically makes itself.
This easy lazy lasagna recipe is exactly that! You’re going to love this slow cooker lasagna crockpot dinner for those busy nights where you just don’t even know what to make.
Another perk of this easy slow cooker lazy lasagna recipe is that everything in the ravioli lasagna recipe can be made ahead and thrown together in the crockpot the morning of, and you’ve got a hands off dinner.
Slow Cooker dinners like this are my favorite!
Lazy Lasagna with Ravioli
There are certain parts of our life that are just straight up insane.
Like, there’s not only no time to make dinner, but there’s also no time to even shop for the ingredients to make dinner. And, they’re the worst because we ofter end up with a sack lunch type of dinner, which I hate giving to the kids as I don’t think it fills them up with enough fuel to take on the rest of their night, let alone keep them full of good, hearty and healthy ingredients to give them a good nights rest.
Sure, I lean on pre-cooked meals like some smoked pork from the butcher counter or a rotisserie chicken every once in awhile, but there’s something to be said for coming home to a home that smells like delicious comfort food, right?
Which is why I love it when I’m on the ball and have some dinners ready to go in my arsenal that are so easy that they’re literally dump and go like this crock pot lazy lasagna.
What is lazy Crock Pot lasagna?
Lazy lasagna is an easier way to make lasagna rather than layering it all out in a 9×13 glass dish and making it into a casserole.
How do you make lazy Crock Pot lasagna with ravioli?
I have found cheese ravioli to be a great substitution for ricotta cheese or cottage cheese in lasagna. That’s why this recipe is one of my favorites as the ravioli doubles as both the pasta, the cottage cheese and the egg mixture.
What are the ingredients for lazy day Crock Pot lasagna?
In my lazy cheese ravioli lasagna crockpot recipe I use these ingredients:
20 oz. Frozen Four Cheese Ravioli {1 pkg.}
24 oz. Pasta Sauce {1 jar}
4 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 pound cooked, crumbled and drained Italian sausage
To make the ravioli lazy lasagna layers:
Spray the inside of a 6-quart crock pot with non stick cooking spray
Pour ½ of the jar of pasta sauce in the crockpot
Spread ½ of the frozen ravioli in an even layer on top of the sauce
Spread ½ of the cooked Italian sausage over the cheese
Spread 2 cups of mozzarella over the ravioli
Repeat these steps one more time making two layers in the slow cooker
Cover, and cook on HIGH for 1 hour 45 minutes, or LOW for 3 hours 30 minutes, or until done.
And, there you have it! This crockpot lasagna recipe is SURE to please!
Recipe Notes
** If you want the ravioli lasagna recipe casserole browned on top you can put the crock (only the ceramic part of the crock pot) in the oven on broil for a few minutes. Keep a close eye on the oven while broiling so it doesn’t burn.
