Beef Sausage and Shrimp Kabobs on the Grill
Summer hasn’t even started and I am already tired of the regular ‘ol subjects on the grill.
This had me dreaming up new flavor combos that could bring some zip to my flavor palate. Let me tell you – these sausage and shrimp kabobs did not disappoint.
Full of the already delicious smoked sausage flavor, the Hillshire® Smoked Sausage.
Served as the main dinner dish next to some grilled corn on the cob – delicious, filling and full of flavor on a perfect spring night. And, a bit of fun added on since the main meal is served on a kabob and must be slid off.
I mean, does it get any more perfect than that?? A fun meal triggering some great conversation.
Probably not, friends … probably not.
While dinner recipes don’t get much more fun than kabobs, this contest is fun! Read on …

These kabobs were a very easy, filling meal that my family will continue to enjoy time and time again in the future.
- 28 large deveined, thawed raw shrimp
- 1 package of Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage Rope
- 1 T Old Bay seasoning
- 1 T garlic seasoning
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 7 skewers
If using wood skewers, soak skewers in water for a minimum of 20 minutes
Place deveined, thawed shrimp in a medium-sized bowl (I buy the bags in the frozen section at Sam’s Club)
Cut sausage into 1/2-3/4 inch slices and place into bowl with shrimp
Combine Old Bay, garlic, and smoked paprika seasonings
Pour seasonings over shrimp and beef combo
Wrap the shrimp around the top of a piece of sausage (see picture)
Thread skewer through shrimp, then sausage, then end with the shrimp
Do four to a skewer if they’ll fit. It’s ok if they’re touching each other
Grill on each side for 3 minutes, medium heat until shrimp is cooked and opaque
Remove from grill and enjoy!
